Lisa Cristiani Brown
      Instructor / Owner

Lisa was born in London, raised in Hong Kong and went to College in Boston. Lisa was a competitive rhythmic gymnast from the age of 7 to 14, participating in the Junior Olympics and representing Hong Kong on the national team. As she got older, her interests expanded to ballroom. She started her training with world class instructors, focusing on the international Latin and Standard styles. When she came to the US she learned the American styles, Rhythm and Smooth, dominating the amateur ranks in both divisions. She did this while going to school for Biology, Exercise Sports Science and Pre-Medicine. Although she originally had plans in the medical field, those plans changed as she realized her love for dancing offered a more fulfilling career path. Lisa has had extensive success competing in the Professional divisions for both Rhythm and Smooth, most recently earning the title of "National Professional Rising Star Smooth Finalist" in 2011. Lisa considers herself incredibly fortunate to be able to share her passion for dance with her students and through the development of SWAY!
